Who we are

Driftless Area Cycling Collective (DACC) is a 501c3 that was started in January 2026. The mission of DACC is to passionately support and grow the sport of cycling in the Driftless area by building and maintaining sustainable trails, fostering an inclusive, family-friendly social community, and empowering the next generation of riders through dedicated youth development programs.

Our goals

1. Community & Social Engagement

  • Create an Inclusive Hub: Establish a welcoming and supportive environment where cyclists of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels can connect, socialize, and ride together.

  • Promote Family Participation: Offer a variety of non-competitive, family-focused rides and events to encourage cycling as a healthy, lifelong activity for entire households.

2. Advocacy & Infrastructure

  • Develop Sustainable Trails: Actively advocate for the planning, funding, and development of new multi-use trails and cycling infrastructure within the community.

  • Lead Trail Stewardship: Organize and execute volunteer workdays for the maintenance and preservation of local trails, promoting responsible land stewardship among all members.

3. Youth Development & Mentorship

  • Inspire Young Riders: Implement comprehensive youth cycling programs that teach bike safety, riding skills, and the value of teamwork and physical fitness.

  • Cultivate Performance and Excellence: Connect youth with advanced coaching, training resources, and technical guidance to support those who seek to advance their cycling performance and pursue competitive excellence in the sport.
