Mount Horeb Mountain Biking and Mount Horeb Composite are just two of the many teams that make up the Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling Association, a part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). Our teams serve youth in grades 6-12 with an all-inclusive, challenge by choice style of instruction. Riders are encouraged to grow through cycling, both on and off the bike. Mount Horeb Mountain Biking is open to students who reside in the Mount Horeb/Barneveld school district while Mount Horeb Composite is open to students from the greater Driftless area of SW Wisconsin.

Our riders are supported by amazing volunteer coaches. We are always looking for adults who love to mountain bike and want to pass on that love for riding to the next generation.

Registration for coaches begins March 1st, and registration for student athletes begins April 1st. Our season starts in July and runs into October, with an optional Regional event in November. In addition to our twice weekly practices, our Festival Weekends are always optional, and ALWAYS fun. Each festival offers an opportunity to ride new trails, make new friends, challenge yourself through racing, and much more. In addition to racing, we offer low-key “Adventure Rides” - rides designed to explore and expand your skills without a competitive element. We also offer something just for the gals! GRiT is a national initiative to get more girls on bikes, and includes rides and activities throughout the season. Finally, our riders learn the value of hard work by supporting the development and maintenance of the trails we ride through the Teen Trail Corps program.
